United Kingdom 🇬🇧: BBC broadcaster apologized after a reporter asked a Moroccan women's national team player a question about homosexuality.

“We know that gay marriage is illegal (in Morocco) Are there gay players in the team? And how is it for them?” asked the journalist who was interrupted by a FIFA representative.

“Sorry, this is a very political issue, so let's stick to football-related issues only,” said the FIFA representative.

A BBC spokesperson stated: “We recognize that the question was inappropriate. We did not intend to cause any harm or suffering.”
