Dont use extensions too much. They can potentially see all webpages that you visit. Only use open-source extensions. For youtube, you have #invidious or #piped. And don't try to visit pages that have to many ads. Then you don't need it too.

More than see the page, it can read and edit the HTML elements to remove ad elements. So for them to abuse that permission to show me an ad the way they just did is unacceptable.

Yes it is. It goes even against the principles that their whole name stands for.

I also like to find a safe browser. My favorite Mozilla based is Floorp. I like how it allows you to spoof your browser and OS.

For Chrome based is Brave but it reminds me of Google in its beginning years. It's almost as if they are trying to be the internet gate keepers with browser and crypto integration.

I would reccommend tor browser for standard normal activity that does not require fast speed.
