I have three girls, all of whom used to come running in to my arms when I got home. But as they grew they one by one stopped running to greet me. But as they grew the simple easy joys turned into more complex but still rewarding interactions…with deeper life lessons and character building.

I have 3 too, when did they stop?

About 12 years old. But at age 2-3 it was a clumsy walk, all out run ages 3-6, and gradually and very subtly and variably slower from ages 8 or 9 until puberty…there was no obvious first day it didn’t happen.
