Rosenberg may have taught you otherwise, but that's only because he's using NVC to manipulate you into buying more books, attending more conferences, and the like. That doesn't even touch on how it belittles actual violence to refer to a particular way of communication as violent.

Nvc is about less assuming and more about communicating how someone/thing is perceived. When you keep assuming and don’t know what your words trigger in someone else you will never arrive at the truth. How words are received always mirrors the state of consciousness of the receiver.
