Is there a way to do this? I just keep getting an error when trying to send the sats to pay the invoice to open my channel.

you can. that’s what they are for. if you have credits and open the first channel from the hub those are used
Hmmmm something weird is going on then. When I try to pay the open channel invoice from the wallet with the sats I get an error in the browser extension.
that’s not how you do it. it would also not know it’s for a channel.
when you start the hub and have your alby account setup you automatically get into the flow to get the first channel.
you’ll not even see the invoice.
