I work hard at my company man. I have given them 7 years of service despite having the skillset to jump ship and make 20% more, but I liked my coworkers and work-life balance.

Now they've fired basically all the old guard with cheaper replacements, and treating long-tenures like a liability not an asset.

Some BS today was the final straw for me to dust off the ol CV. I don't want to forget what it's like to enjoy writing code or building things.

If you're a CEO or manager- RESPECT YOUR EMPLOYEES and especially the time and energy they have given you. /RantIntoAbyss

sadly they only respect the VC's who are telling them to get cheap replacements who in general tend to f@@k things up. You are in a better position as advisor for your ex emplyer (and many others) when this happens. Charge them hard for your time!
