So far, the future is very very messy, lol :))) I tried Coracle, noStrudel, and Nosmero via Tor Browser... it's an hmm... interesting experiment so far :))

Any pointers on how to navigate this "future" would be much appreciated :))

i use primal but im workin on my own client that has monero integration

Oh wow, that would be awesome (especially if it plays well with Tor Browser ;) ). Any links yet to check it out?

I want to have something out for people to play with asap but I'm unironically autistic and want it to be in a perfect state I'm happy with before that happens

I use Primer as well. UI/UX wise, my favorite. Also last I checked they were giving a free lightning wallet/address w/ app as well.

yeah... I don't use apps. I have to clarify every time that I interact with internet thingy exclusively via the Tor Browser. So far, Coracle works better with Tor. Will try iris.to :)

Yea I know you don't use apps and TOR only, occasional Brave situation. You can potentially use once and set up the lightning stuff and allow potential accumulation of zaps and cash out later perhaps though if you wish. I've not used it much but @coinos w/ their web interface might be an alternative.

Do you mind telling me the issues you were having in clients over tor? I'd like to build with tor in mind. Some issues might not be client/tor related and more to do with the relays you're using and tor. But connection drops, websockets and JavaScript could be pooping itself in tor browser

"messy" is an understatement for Nostr clients :) the main issue in my experience though is that the relay system is unreliable. stuff may not make it to other users even if both of you use good relays, and you can't know if it didn't work.

I wonder if relaying is just not the right architecture for microblogging, or if this can be overcome with some changes.
