Bitcoin vs. the Rest (Proof-of-Work Energy Comparison):

• Bitcoin consumes approximately 176 TWh per year, making it the most energy-intensive digital asset by a wide margin.

• All other major Proof-of-Work cryptocurrencies combined—including Dogecoin, Monero, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, Zcash, Bitcoin Cash, Ravencoin, Kaspa, and 6 others—consume an estimated 17–20 TWh per year total.

That means Bitcoin accounts for over 90% of all PoW crypto energy usage.

Dogecoin, the second-largest, uses about 2.3 TWh/year, which is still less than 1.5% of Bitcoin’s total.
