Gaah! Why do Internet providers have sales people cold-calling me who know nothing about the product they are selling?

Me: "your upload speeds and Acceptable Use Policy don't allow me to experiment with hosting services from my home"

Caller: has no idea what an

AUP or hosting are and keeps reiterating that they have gigabit downloads

Me clarifying: I am not interested in streaming shows and movies. I want to be able to make connections to my home network from outside it.

Caller excited: "You can access all your streaming services from our mobile app and watch anywhere!"

This kinda sounds like Metronet

This is Charter. They didn't bother me when I was a customer, but now that I quit their overpriced cable internet for fiber, they feel entitled to one sales call a month.

I wouldn't mind if they knew anything. All isps should be xkcd.com/806 compliant.
