Was concerned that OnlyZaps™️ was a barrier of entry or would stifle connection. In actuality it appears to increase engagement via reposting and comments. Onward.

Probably, although there's no way to measure how many people are skipping over notes they would have previously liked. As long as people still have a choice to receive likes, it's all good.
