I think the only reason I like summer more is that it's so much easier to go backpacking when mountains aren't packed with snow.

Ah man I bet that’s fun 🥹 want to do that one day. Yeah my reason for not being a fan of summer is just summers in London being awful humid and grey sometimes. Not great 😭
It's a little masochistic, but it's definitely fun. There's always at least one point in the hike where you're going up yet another mile or so of switchbacks with about a 40 pound pack on your back wondering who the hell thought this would be a good idea.
But then you get to some gorgeous mountain lake and forget that you were slogging through literal hell to get there. 😂
