Plabies and Gentleplebs!

Today is saturday so I'm bringing you the third #plebreads novel indication from my all time favourite reads!

This time it's the Demon Cycle series by Peter V. Brett.

It is composed of 5 novels and 3 novellas.

The first novel is The Warded Man.

416 pages, published sept 2008.

Genre: Mostly epic fantasy but with a hint of post-apocalyptic

Goodreads synopsis: "As darkness falls after sunset, the corelings rise—demons who possess supernatural powers and burn with a consuming hatred of humanity. For hundreds of years the demons have terrorized the night, slowly culling the human herd that shelters behind magical wards—symbols of power whose origins are lost in myth and whose protection is terrifyingly fragile. It was not always this way. Once, men and women battled the corelings on equal terms, but those days are gone. Night by night the demons grow stronger, while human numbers dwindle under their relentless assault. Now, with hope for the future fading, three young survivors of vicious demon attacks will dare the impossible, stepping beyond the crumbling safety of the wards to risk everything in a desperate quest to regain the secrets of the past. Together, they will stand against the night."

My quick review: This series has everything I love most in a good novel - awesome world-building, characters you care for, interesting magic system, post-apocalyptic medieval setting, a plot that works, great fight sequences, a badass main character! Arlen is your cliché farm-boy-turns-into-hero but you won't care the least bit about it because his story is just amazing.

If you pick this one up you will have a very hard time putting it down, I guarantee it!

Important addendum: if you are a broke pleb like me and buying this book would mean parting with a significant amount of your precious sats, just DM me and I'll hook you up with a free copy. But if you have the mean$ I strongly suggest that you purchase an original hardcover or ebook copy to support this great author!

That's it! See you at the next one! Stay tuned for more recommendations every week and also check the #plebreads hashtag for all of them. If you enjoyed one, it's very likely you will enjoy all of them (:
