If Satoshi had believed it impossible to solve the Byzantine General’s problem,
we wouldn’t have bitcoin.
He solved the double-spend problem so that we could have immutable, decentralized, scarce MONEY.

I find it insane that some ‘bitcoiners’ think it is *impossible* to prevent spam.
Where is the Cypherpunk spirit in that?! 
Of course it's possible. But what are the tradeoffs of taking action versus simply waiting for the market to solve the problem?
We have an action bias and I think we should be more cautious with tinkering.
Maybe so, but when I see who is behind the funding I am not necessarily trusting that ‘the market’ is in any way ‘free’ or ‘natural’
At the same time I agree we need to be very cautious, just not give up
