As a child my father taught me that whatever I hear, no matter the source, that I had to turn it over in my mind, walk around it, kick its tyres, look under the hood and read up on it before I made up my own mind on it.

It was an expected thought pattern in my house.

I thought it was normal and that everyone was like that. That we all had to think for ourselves…

Your father was wise. Hope to teach the same to my children someday!

I Have every confidence that you’ll succeed 😁😁

You're not alone, my dad taught me early on: Trust nothing, question everything.

Your Dad is also a legend. The world needs Dads no matter what we are told

Amen! 👌🏼

Mr McCatface sounds like a wise man.

My dad was always a bit a rebel, never asked for permission, did want her wanted, but he never taught us to question or think for ourselves. It's certainly rare.

I like your dad, sounds like he lived life on his own terms. And the fact that you are here means he taught you a lot about that too 😁

My dad was the victim of domestic abuse and he vowed that that mindset and baggage would end with him. He vowed that my life would be different. He is the best dad I could ever have hoped for. Very grateful for him

He had certainly lived in his own terms.
