Tolkien, classic writer about big adventure, never really went anywhere. He wrote about it.
Basically if you are bored you aren't paying enough attention. He felt he paid enough attention that his short daily walk on the same path each day was an adventure.
Don't hunt for wild new experiences, really soak up the experience you are having now.
Epicureanism is an adjacent philosophy.
