Yesterday, we listened to Verdi's "Messa da Requiem” at the Dom, the most impressive cathedral in #Berlin, which is styled in Neo-Renaissance and Baroque architecture.

It is an unusual piece of classical music, notable for its many dissonances and vibrant musical language, allowing one to feel a dialogue concerning despair, sincerity, and redemption.

The pursuit of the divine through music reached a state of perfection. Although I'm not a Christian, I experienced something epiphanic.
