Does Vexl 2.0 on Android require google services as the Vexl 1.0 did?

That was the reason why I didn't install it on my phone (with google services etc disabled) and used an spare ipad instead. And now with Apple acting like another layer of state is interfering with my "solution".

Are you going to make vexl 2 pwa? Wouldn't it be possible to (re)make vexl as a nostr app? (I know, a lot of work for free, I'm sure it's a money black hole for satoshi labs).

It's discused in czech vexl group. There are some problems with contacts export (only for safari as experimental feature)
