Third option: Run both.
I have LND as my main node, but I also have a CLN node with a channel to my main node to utilize its liquidity. In my setup, I don't need my CLN node for much besides receiving payouts from nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze, but if your situation is different, and you want to use CLN as your main node and have LND on the side for some of its features, you could always do the opposite.

Whichever one is the main node is the only one you really need to worry about managing liquidity on, since the secondary node only has one channel and it's with your primary node, so there really isn't much to running it, and you never have to worry about your channel partner force-closing on you. 😂
