I did not have to pay them anything to self-host my own instance of Alby Hub. You might want to look into that first.

No, not using nostrconnect. After downloading the Alby Hub client, I just migrated the old wallet and kept on using Zeus with the old credentials.

So you are hosting the hub from your computer, although I wonder if I can install it, log into my old Alby account & Remove the 26,000 sats?

with alby hub you get a self-sovereign channel. that only makes sense if you want to use it more often.
