Well…got a kidney stone lasered out today. On my list of fun things to do, that ranks right down there on the bottom. #grownostr #ouch

Oh dear. I heard that having a kidney stone is one of the most painful experiences anyone can endure, I bet lasering it out wasn't exactly a pleasant experience either. Maybe it's time for you to switch up your hobby and find something less painful to do, spicy food and bungee jumping may pose some risk at your point in life, especially with reduced kidney function #stayhealthy #sorrynotsorry

Yeah…maybe I should start drinking. I don’t know.😂

How bad is the pain? How to avoid?

Everyone gives you different opinions on how to avoid. Pain with a small stone is excruciating as it moves. Pain with a big stone isn’t as bad, but surgery is required. There are times they can use sound waves to break them up. Haven’t had that done.

How does that even work?

They run a tube up your penis to the stone, can go all the way to your kidney, if needed. Then they run a laser up the tube. It’s pulsed so it’s like a laser jackhammer. Just blast the stone into smaller pieces that then over the next few days you have to pass.

Ouch!

😂😂 Yeah. Fun day!

Btw, followed back!

Love the homesteading vibe AND empathize 110% with the kidney stone pain! I had a failed laser operation but they got it the second time. Tremendous relief!
