I like this note. Counter question…do you suggest we not vote at all? I read the latest entry on your site. Do you believe we are at the point that we don’t vote as a symbolic act of our exit from participating in the current system?

Everyone is free to do what they want but if someone wants to vote I would suggest voting for a third party candidate.

Personally I believe the less we participate in the system, the less legitimacy they have. Imagine if voting participation drops to 15%-20%. Can the government legitimately say that they represent the will of the people?

When is the last time voting fixed anything in the last 15 years?

Make it 50 years. For the Americans, democracy was over when they killed JFK.

You could make it 150 years and I’d still be hard pressed to come up with a national level question fixed by voting.

I vote every moment by how I spend my time and where I direct my attention and resources. Those votes matter. Those votes can move my life and my community.
