Unless you were Icelandic they arrested some people.
Funny enough- the only arrest I’m aware of from that time was Ralph Cioffi and his partner, managers of a bear stearns fund that- coincidentally, Jeffrey Epstein was invested in.
Wasn’t that one for just insider trading and not misrepresenting fraudulent mortgages to clients?
Yeah and The case was dropped because the jury felt like the men were being scapegoated for the 2008 crisis.
There’s a theory running around and mentioned by nostr:npub1g0587hzzckcncxfm78n0996qe2s58nspy29wf02tqcj5sdzcpj4q6j40hv that Jeff epstein took down that bear fund by removing his investment, and kicked off the 2008 crisis.
