I believe we should take this threat seriously and be proactive. There seems to be a culture of armchair experts that think QC will never be an issue and that bitcoin can "just softfork" as if that's easy and that's all that needs to happen.

There is also a group that believes QC is a scam and will never come to fruition. To that I say "follow the money"--I find it hard to believe that companies would pour so much money into a field that has no future. Academia would, but industry?

Time will tell.
