Yea I suspect there is more state worship than God worship going on here. Which unfortunately is typical in what passes as Christianity these days. If for no other reason, I cannot see how anyone who call themself a Christian can support the state after the past 3+ years, unless one belongs to a state-cuck 'church' that followed orders in violation of alleged faith. I get the impression you might not a Believer, (which is fine, I am in no place to judge, nor would I anyway, just bear with me for sticking with that line of thought) but there is a saying I have come across recently, 'in order to be a good Christian, one MUST be a bad Roman'. Otherwise, what's the point?
Agreed. My corrolary of that saying is, “To be a good person, one must be a bad patriot”, because any State’s secret #police - #Gestapo, #CIA, #NSA, #KGB, et cetera - is composed exclusively of those most afflicted with the #patriotism disease.
(Thanks to my parents, my diverse education included a Christian private school of one of the major Christian sects in the West. So, I’m familiar with #Jesus, the #Bible and The #Church, even though here in #Asia, his father (aka #Allah 🕋) and #Buddha🪷 are more applicable to our daily life and philosophy.)
