Federal Minister for Information Technology Dr. Umar Saif has officially launched the Pakistan Startup Fund with an initial allocation of Rs 2 billion. The fund aims to accelerate venture capital investment in the country and provide financial assistance to startups. Each startup will receive 30% support from the fund, with the remaining 70% contributed by venture capitalists. Currently, Pakistan has over 4,000 active startups supported by eight National Innovation Centers. These startups have already attracted nearly $800 million in foreign investment over the past four years, highlighting the country's potential in the startup ecosystem.
