I'd like to thank Microsoft and it's shareholders for inspiring me to completely wipe Windows 11 from my laptop in favor of Ubuntu, no dual boot or WSL this time. I was going to do this anyways, but it was expedited 😂 Next up, GrapheneOS, anyone have a good alternative for Google Photos?

As alternative to Google Photos, you can self-host an #Umbrel server o a #RaspberryPi at home and install #Immich to store your photos on your server. And you can access it from your phone with the Immich app. You may need to install Tailscale VPN to connect to your server when you are not home. But it works great for me.

Thank you and this is the path I'm going to do down. Gonna use Google Takeout to remove all of my photos from Google Photos and self host on Umbrel with Immich. Good advice ✌️

Consider a truenas server to self host almost anything you want.
