Yea its still out there, but ya gotta dig and dig. My introduction was Public Enemy in 1988-89. Its been sad to watch the slow and painful regression to this clown ass shit that passes for hip hip these days. And an extra shame is a lot of the mainstream rappers got some serious skills, but industry bullshit always gotta ruin shit. Fuckin devils. Kanye may not have presented it in the best way, but he is spot on about the fuckery

I can't believe the skill that was abundant is now replaced with auto tune and mumble rap and pop rap that all follows the same algorithm like every genre of music does.

"Well here are the beatsband tempo that sells the most and here are the topics you can choose from. Sure it's all the same recycled garbage lyrics but you know it'll sell."

Look back at the Roots, Tribe Called Quest, Wutang, Outkast, 2pac, even groups like Poison Clan etc... they lyrics and individuality of the lyrics and sounds were amazing and there was such a larger, diverse and actually talented talent pool to draw from. Now. .....primarily garbage like every other genre

and none of it by accident. Can't have the hood hearing anything positive. At the risk of this coming off way wrong, but the coonin and buffoonery they got these kids doing these days makes me fucking cringe, I can't imagine how it makes blacks feel. And then we got that so-called drill rap nonsense with mofos actually killing each other for fucking clicks. Jesus fucking christ

oh and the sad part is there are people who actually think these rap videos are representative of all black people, so guess in that sense, 'They' get a win
