what does this mean?

Sorry, drbd. Block level replication. It does work if you have a second box on a big pipe

i dont get sry have to ask again.

Or two local boxes on the same high speed lan. 10Gb works.

I used drdb 🤙 not for my Lightning node though. And now I'm wondering if I should be. Hrm.

got someone a link to this drdb so that i can read about it?

I have tested it. Works great VPS <> VPS but you need to pay for the other server obvs and tbh I think my RAID setup should cover me

my raid 5 controller died on friday the 13. last week.

No shit. I am so sorry.

yes could recover all channels except one. the remote node blocks my connection somehow and doesnt force close.

That sucks man. Is the peer dead or just misbehaving?

no he is online but i cant connect to him somehow. says connection succsesful and next second its gone.

I guess you've already tried filing a github issue? They are usually quite good with issues like this - it's a serious one

i wrote guggero a email but no reaction yet. maybe i should read on the lnd issues first before i ask.

Yeah you may find someone has reported something similar but you could create an issue anyway. Roasbeef is quite active on there too. Anything that results in a loss or potential loss is a priority

yeah i will just write there. thx.

ok i will write there. thx

ok i will write there. thx

Ah, I use software RAID. There are some big nodes that don't even RAID!! I believe Carsten Otto has a DRBD setup

ok thanks i will look into it.
