Hot take: Trump tried to say the right things, but partially failed. He has obviously been advised by shit coiners who want Gensler out of the way so that they can continue to perpetrate their scams. I suspect Trump is as much a "verify, dont trust" person as we are. The strategic bitcoin stock pile was a smart ANN, better to call it "reserve". But a bit half hearted. He's given bitcoin more legitimacy and which is a win. But the "America First" strategy has let the cat out of the bag, and now every smart country can front run it. tl;dr bitcoin working as expected.

So he actually doesn't know shit about Bitcoin. It's just whatever someone whispers into his big ear(s)?
He's an 80 year old entertainer. He has an act, which he mixes up a bit for each audience. But most are largely the same. Similar to a standup comic, or musician. He did do quite a bit of targeted bitcoin stuff in the talk, but he wasnt always in his comfort zone, and relied on what he has picked up. He wasnt that bad, more like a year 1 student picking up the basics. He kind of tailored about 50% specifically to a sophisticated bitcoin crowd, and just about survived. A bit like asking your grandpa to go give a talk at a quantum physics conference. He made it to the end, without looking like he wast trying to make to the end, at times fell back on his prepared patter. He got some of the big items correct. But has yet to find out about shitcoin scams. Maybe he can learn.
Entertainer. Right. From what you're saying he's not a complete fool. And there's hope that eventually the truth of Bitcoin will set him right and not necessarily as a president. He will learn it for the wrong reasons (entertaining the Bitcoin crowd) causing an epiphany in his life 😃
RFK was better on bitcoin imo
