I wouldn't totally give up on bitcoin, hope u haven't sold it all for monero. Monero may well have a place in the future, but don't sell all your bitcoin.

Yes bitcoin does have privacy issues, but it doesn't mean it won't be the most dominant form of money in the future.

If my electronic money was stolen from me, then I'd wish I'd held it in bitcoin. Atleast I could try to somewhat track and see where its gone.

Monero not great.

If I was being persecuted by a government that wouldn't let me act the way I wanted to, and there was a need to hide my transactions better than bitcoin, I'm using monero or some other form of privacy tool.

I didn’t understand why tracking a stolen BTC would be useful. I, imho, think that isn’t an advantage. Your money, your responsibility, like if you lost your fiat wallet. I may be wrong but as Monero can’t be tracked the only way anyone could see your balance is with your View Key (which is private).

You've got half a chance to catch the person if you can track it.

How many times it has happened? (I really don’t know)

BTW: I didn’t disagree with your about having BTC and XMR

Being able to track on blockchain is definitely double edged sword. Would I want nationstates adopting monero vs bitcoin. I'm picking bitcoin. Because monero is so private nationstates will definitely be up to no good. Its gonna be more difficult for nationstates to get up to their typical shenanigans with bitcoin. Monero is a nationstates dream made in heaven. They can hide what they do.

Using bitcoin exposes the individual when being oppressed by a government or other person organisation etc. in which case use Monero.

Not sure how useful the tracking ability of bitcoin has been used practically when funds stolen due to compromised key.

I'd like to see Monero stay small enough so nationstates can't adopt it. Bitcoin is getting big enough to use at nationstate level.

If Monero stays small enough then out of the reach of the nationstate, but can be freely used by individual to protect themselves, then that's the perfect scenario for me. I don't want nationstates to have the protection Monero gives, nationsates are corrupt.

I think Monero definitely has a place. I don't call it a shitcoin.
