Would really like to know how NY prosecutors are able to charge Chinese citizens with a crime. What statute gives them jurisdiction?

Also, they were charged by the US government in this release, not the NYDFS. But they were charged in a federal court in NY.

Fucked up. We're the US, and we have jurisdiction everywhere. I hope the US loses.
