That would make a good vlog

He's going to be my cameraman, he'll be vlogging me.

I've just booked him a cabin for the cruise πŸ˜‚

Better than having him stand in the corner of your own cabin/bedroom. That would be super creepy πŸ₯΄πŸ˜¦

It would be handy when I wanted to put the kettle on tho πŸ€”

For 500 dollars a month you could just hire a housekeeper and that wouldn't cost 20k up front nor would s/he really be a corporate spy for surveillance capitalists.

But can she do that brain surgery you needed and build that extension you've always fancied and teach your kids quantum entanglement πŸ˜‚

I don't think that neo bot will be able to do those things either. And the teacher would be better as a flatscreen than a humanoid.

It won't be able to do very much at all to start with, but once one bot can load a dishwasher, all bots will be able to load a dishwasher, once one bot has built a house, all bots will be able to build a house.

Neo is the Altavista of Robotics, it's going to be one of the companies that bootstraps us into the age of robotics, but there will be companies that are yet to exist, the future robotic google, that will propel us to an Asimov style vision.

There are two options, just like the Internet or Bitcoin, go through the 5 stages of acceptance:

1. Denial

2. Ridicule

3. Attack

4. Accept

5. Adopt

Or, as we do for Bitcoin and as I did for the Internet, get involved and start building the future that is inevitable.

Neo is not the solution, but it is part of the journey.

It is the 56K modem of the Internet.

I'm sure they will get better, but while they are internet connected spying machines they won't be allowed in my flat. They can wait outside by the bike racks.

I'm old enough to remember that sentiment about the Internet and Bitcoin πŸ˜‚

Hummm. Yeah. Internet may have turned out bad. Thinking of ditching my smartphone too.

Self sufficiency, living off the land in harmony with nature is not a bad life at all.

Maybe once there are open source alternatives with the price tag of a vacuum cleaner. Until then, hard pass.

I'm not spending that much on a glorified vacuum cleaner πŸ˜‚

Nice. Unlike girlfriends they won't take all our money.

They will through subscription, with a premium tier, so that when Bitcoin pumps, so do they πŸ˜‚

Wait we're RENTING robots? This is terrible news.

Subscription is the future πŸ˜‚

You will own nothing and be happy.

In the Orwellian dystopia, the robot gets you

That's Big Brother you're thinking of.

Futurama is where we get killed by the robots πŸ˜‚
