Ok that makes sense, so broadcasting your own note won’t do anything, but broadcasting someone else’s note will.

What’s the difference between broadcasting and boosting? If I boost someone else’s note, shouldn’t that get broadcasted to all my relays as well?

When you boost, you’re broadcasting it to your relays, but also sharing it to the people who follow you, so it’ll show up in their feed.

Broadcasting is basically boosting but without the “sharing to my followers feeds” part.
