Students could be bused to the vocational school for part of the day and had the option to learn skills like plumbing, electrical, welding, etc. They would graduate from high school with their diploma and certificates from the vocational school to enter the workforce immediately after graduating. There were a few kids in my class who were able to buy their first homes at 19. Really cool opportunity.
