I've no rig , these are just stock images.

I'm researching what way to go about it for long term mining.

S9's are relatively cheap but may be obsolete soon.

I'm an electrician by trade with electricrial engineering as part of my job so I'm confident in my skillset to build whatever is needed 😂

Ok good don’t waste your money on gpus…….

Cheapest electricity is the first thing. Cheaper the better. If you can afford a solid long term investment for free (or near) electricity that’s first. (Personally I had looked into mining forever with solar and s1’s. Unfortunately I could not come up with the up front capital to do this at a large scale)

Then after you figure out all the electrical stuff.

You gotta decide what miner is gonna fit with the actual amount of electricity you have to spare.

(Cheaper power = longer lifer for newer miners & possibly running older miners {with auto trigger software controlled systems})

Redundancy with Internet and power systems is a plus

I can install solar and wind with battery backup no problem so limited down time.

Probablem as you said will be the initial outlay.

For just the power rig that would be 10 to 15k for materials

Yup and you’re limited to the mw\kw h produced.

But it’s long game…..

Have you looked into drilling a natural gas well. If that’s even possible/practical in your area?

Have you contacted the power supply company directly to talk about quoted rates for x amount of guaranteed usage?

I think with a small mining setup it's not really worth doing that but definitely an option if I build it out.

Honestly I think with a properly specd PV solar setup il be able to mine relatively cheap to almost free for a small setup.

Pretty good right? How many times ya dine the math? Lol. If you do decide to invest in the project I wish you many years of easy mining and many mined blocks.

Ireland, isn't friendly to that , can't have people with free gas haha 😂

If I would have bought 30k worth of solar and what ever the about of miners to eat that power I’d still have it…….

Power cost would have never shut my mine down……

And everything would have been paid off already…….

It’s a tricky game but it can be played.

Why do you think the biggest miners in the USA a starting to buy/build their own power plants?

Because…..

It is the way……

Unstoppable money requires unstoppable power.

Solar Rig incoming 😜

Just make sure you double triple check the math. Several times.

Have someone else double check as well. As with everything don’t invest what you can’t lose.

Idk how business law works over there but there may be some severe advantages when it comes to this sort of stuff as well.

As a former mining business owner in the USA I never paid taxes on bitcoin that was mined and sold due to the tax laws here (good accountants matter).
