The one area of knowledge that is less accessible to most is recently published research papers. They're all paywalled and prohibitively costly.
Sci-Hub takes research papers and makes them publicly available. It's like the PirateBay of research papers.
SciHub really helps many university students, researchers, especially ones that really limited by the paywall gate (developing or third worls countries) :)

Everyone should be reading research papers, particularly metadata analysis papers. Even if you don’t read research papers, everyone should have the ability to read them if they choose free of charge, after all most of this research is paid for with your public money. Aaron Schwartz died trying to change this for everyone. This project goes a long way to realizing his dream. Bring your DOI numbers!
