Run a VPN π

Always π«‘
Iβve got a bone to pick with you.
I started used Mullvad to play Polymarket, now I canβt convince the BBC to stream films and my bank has refused to pay out any money πππ
For banking I usually change the region to something closer to home. Some services need it to be turned off though πππ
Actually this is semi serious, once Iβve visited the BBC from a VPN IP, it remembers me and wonβt change the region back even if I turn off the VPN.
I have to reboot the computer π₯Ή
Even if you switch back the region before turning it off?
Yes
Maybe switxh browsers
To be clear, mullvad, proton, etc. are glorified proxies masquerading as a VPN.
For a real VPN, you want wireguard or headscale/tailscale and some VPS instances. A few hosts, Networked, in a Private way, that's Virtual, not bound to physical connections.
I find it hard to believe the mulls & protons of the world are anything but massive honeypots.
