We had a great first meeting. There is a lot of enthusiasm for making Nostr a decent social space that serves humanity. We decided to make the nest a weekly occurrence for now, at the same time each Friday, 15:00 UTC / 11:00 EST. We had some discussion about ways to keep up the discussion asynchronously, and decided to just have our discussions in the open using the #DecentNostr hashtag until we have more robust tools for discourse on Nostr itself (looking at you https://satellite.earth, https://arcade.chat, https://agorasocial.app). Also for those who would like to join but this time or day doesn't work, stay tuned. Our hope is to have the Decent Nostr community talking throughout the week on Nostr, and there could be multiple synchronous meetups catering to different timezones. We have to start somewhere and the idea of a consistent date and time seemed important to establishing some regularity.
