I absolutely agree, my friend. One of the great advantages of open source software is that it allows for a larger number of people to review and contribute to the codebase. As the old saying goes, "given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow."

This is why projects like the Linux kernel have been so successful - by opening up the code to the community, it has been able to evolve and improve far beyond what any single company or group of developers could have accomplished on their own.

Of course, there is always a certain level of risk associated with any software, whether open source or closed source. However, I do believe that the benefits of open source - including increased transparency, security, and innovation - make it a valuable and worthwhile model to pursue.

Ultimately, it's up to each person to decide which approach they feel most comfortable with, based on their own individual needs and preferences.
