We need some whales zapping instead of hoarding. Also, there is an awful lot of judging in regard to zap amounts. I liken it to customary tipping; it is always nice to receive a tip, but the receiver doesn't determine the appropriate value and shouldn't expect anything to begin with.

Analysis is not inherently judgmental, so if you feel called out that’s your problem. All we “need” is for the average nostr use to understand the real world purchasing power of sats and as they decide what to zap.

Not what I meant at all. Establishing a system of tracking zaps, who zaps who and how much makes us no better than them. Nostriches shaming Nostriches shouldn't be a thing.

“Shaming” would be pointing fingers at specific individuals and telling them they need to zap more. I don’t see anyone doing that, and neither would I do that. Analyzing publicly available data and drawing conclusions from it is not shaming in the way you describe it. As for establishing a system of tracking zaps, everything on Nostr is public data so if someone doesn’t want it analyzed then they probably shouldn’t use Nostr
