Keys stored on metal is good for fire but how do you protect against tornadoes? Steel won’t matter when the entire building is scattered around a five mile debris field.
The only two things I can think of is store a backup in another location or bury a backup in the ground time capsule style. Any other ideas?

I’ve always thought burying is best, protects from just about everything.. although as you say a big storm could scatter debris in such a way as to make it hard to reach or dig at your spot…
So yes, having two copies hidden (buried) in two locations is critical imo
