I really want to know your opinion on this.
If you really like a piece of art and wish to use it somewhere, but the artist only sells it as an NFT, what would you do? Would you buy the NFT, use it without buying it, or not use it at all because it's NFT.

Use without buying.
Pragmatism over ideology. Iโd pay for it, but Iโd make sure it actually transfers ownership in a legally recognized way. It would be a bad feeling to buy it and find out they reserved some rights.
Depends on if the price was reasonable compared to buying it not as an NFT. I don't really care, but I'd avoid that BRC bullshit. The NFT itself means nothing to me.
But it also sounds like that artist may have an aversion to profit.
This is not me, but I'd imagine people just don't care, same as they don't care about music, nor games, nor movies or anime, comics or manga, they'll download it and enjoy it regardless if they have the right to own it, if they payed for it or not, and regardless if it's an NFT, or denied by a commandment from a supposed god.
That's the base, and whether or not they respect it or not depends on convenience, financial status, and personal attitude towards the industry and it's creators.
Yeah, it depends on persons prospective towards industry and artist. Personally I prefer to pay if I can and forget its an NFT, just so I can support the artist.
I personally appreciate that. It can be difficult to balance the desire to share images you make with the fact that the best ones will probably just be quietly appropriatedโฆ
If you place value on it and there is a price (depends how much) I think you should buy the โartโ. Forget itโs an NFT
Try to recreate the image with AI or reach out to a designer/ illustrator and use the original piece for inspiration. Right click and save + modify

Contact the artist and agree to an individual contract. Buying an NFT is not legally clear as to what kind pf rights are actually being sold.
Especially if I intend to use that art for a commercial activity, just buying the NFT is an incredible risk.
Unless the NFT itself includes a legally binding contract, that specifices the exact details of the deal and unless the buing of an NFT is legally recognized as actually agreeing by all parties to the contract in it, you are just buying bragging rights.
Iโd buy it if I can pay for it or donโt use it if I donโt have money to afford it. I think artists deserve to receive the credit and payment for their work just like anyone else.
Yeah, I did the same for this, not as an investment, but just so I could support that artist. Sometimes prices are very unreasonable tho.
