@ThankGodForBTC For some it is because they think it could be the Mark of the Beast, but I think that on a more fundamental level, their eschatology assumes that history is going in a generally negative direction, so something like Bitcoin must not really be as good as it seems.

@ThankGodForBTC They assume that it will eventually look like evil has won, and therefore something like Bitcoin is doomed to fail somehow, even if we can't see how that could happen from our current perspective. Anything truly good is a non-starter until after the resurrection in their mind.
