A successful product is usually

`functions * UX * marketing`

So features compensate a bad UX, and also a lot of visibility helps.

Then it is worth noting that some bad UXs can be intentional: they are planned to cut off users that are not enough tech savvy and could be a great cost in support if they generate bad feedbacks.
