Its short for national socialiam ;

Communism is short for international socialism.

They pretend to be opposites, but they're the same thing.

Technically all modern nation states are fascist now. Maybe not Switzerland... Idk.

Well... Hmm. Maybe it would be more correct to say all modern nation states are socialist, and refrain from specifying either extreme end.
