Honest answer?
1. relay management is a nightmare. It presumably causes loss of notes, notifications, followers list, inability to manage timeline (for instance blocking spammers seems to be useless)...
2. apps lack basics like image and video from device, GIF search, or quote-repost button. some have some, but none has all. Some don't even have a block button.
There is A LOT of development to be completed before Nostr is anywhere close to launching for the normie world. Devs are working and producing at an insane pace, but we're just not there yet.
the aspect of having key is something new for many. 99% of ppl never used PGP or anything with a pup key and priv key.

I think it's not superdifficult. It's just a "password" -- you just can't recover it of you lose it. I was focusing more on the user experience itself when using the different apps.
I think the protocol should perhaps be a bit tighter in terms of the specifications every client must comply with. It seems at the moment there is some degree of discrepancy in the implementation.
But I'm probably talking out of my ass anyway.
