Whoever achieves quantum computing supremacy first will either copy bitcoin's model but using quantum encryption, or charge network users for using their high level encryption.

We may be able to use human uniqueness as a form of 2fa that the computers can't mimic. Or some kind of hardware device that needs to be present for 2fa.

There are quantum resistant algorithms that don't need to be run on a quantum computer. We could switch to one today, but there's a ton of inertia because it'd probably convert all the ASICs to ewaste overnight.

It definitely will have to happen, but those ASICs do all the mining for the bitcoin network. And doing so would require a hard fork, which bitcoin has shown itself to be VERY resistant to. It will not be easy to convince the network to abandon literally millions of dollars in hardware that still works.
