It depends on client. In damus the checkmark is grey if someone is verified. Purple if you follow them. You have a purple checkmark!

I don’t know the answer to that sorry, except that perhaps you must parse the .well-known/nostr.json file hosted at the domain that the profile declares for NIP-05 verification?

Thanks for looking into it. I’ve got the grey ✅ going on damus and correct domain is showing on Nostrgram.
