Honest question: why spend fiat in parts and electricity knowing in advance that it will be almost impossible to mine a block? Also, the hashrate brought to the network is insignificant in the big picture, so the argument of decentralization and securing the network is not in play here, at least as I see it. Please understand I am not criticizing yor decison, I am just trying to understand if there are reasons that are not evident to me that justify me spending fiat in this miner instead of just buying sats with it. Thank you for your patience.

Well for starters, tinkering with hardware is a hobby of mine.

Also I would like to learn more about mining. In my opinion there is no better way to learn, than to expose yourself to the issues that arise, when building, operating and maintaining real physical stuff.

Maybe I'll find a way to lower the entry burden and cost for people like you 😉

Thank you for your answer and for your work. It is realy cool that you can use your hobby to have fun and to make it easier for everyone else.
