My favorite thing about nostr is that the feed isn't an endlessly scrolling repeat of the same content that I don't care about. It's only what I want to see in chronological order. I can scroll for 5 minutes and see everything new. Or, I can go check out new hashtags. So much better when you're in control. Getting zaps is the icing on the cake.

Not having algorithms constantly recycle and feed "popular" content back to you is glaringly obvious once you experience it.
I knew it was bad but I almost didn't realize how bad it is until I just got straight up notes.
Exactly ... The typical feed was such a time suck. I'll never have to see that here. If one app decides to try, I can just switch to another or go to a web feed. I'm in control.
